You'll encounter Continental Congress mandates, Cold War boondoggles, 1970s Golden Fleece awards, and 1990s defense spending right alongside modern scientific grants and hilarious fabricated baloney. It's completely non-partisan and designed so grandparents, parents, and younger adults can all play together without anyone arguing over current news.

Why is the game rated 16+? Is there crude humor?

No foul language or vulgarity! The 16+ rating is simply because the federal government has funded some mature adult research over the years (such as public health grants studying alcohol, illicit drugs, or adult reproductive health). The cards present objective facts from official public records, but they cover topics better suited for teens and adults rather than young kids.

Great game to play with friends or at family gatherings. I liked it because whether you are a conservative or liberal supporter everyone likes to know about wasteful government spending. This game is also a great conversation starter amongst your guests.
